This week in the nursery

February 15, 2026

It’s actually been two weeks since my last “This week in the nursery” post. A lot has happened! We cleaned up one of our terrace levels, potted up a whole lot of plants to grow out, and started a lot of baby plants from cuttings and divisions. We emptied out our potting soil box in preparation for a new load of ten yards, which was delivered last week. We were also approved as a vendor at the Olympia Farmer’s Market and are looking forward to selling there this summer!

Lessons learned: slow and steady wins the race. It might not seem like we get much done in one day, but it sure makes a big difference over the course of a week.

Plants we started or potted up for growing on: Masja hydrangea, peppermint, Pacific beach strawberry (native), Coral Beauty cotoneaster, Golden Curls willow, red twig dogwood (native), Dragon’s Blood sedum, chocolate mint, Candy Love hellebore, Lynwood Gold forsythia, Provence lavender, Mimosa, Kwanzan cherry, Japanese tree lilac, northern spicebush, Firewitch dianthus, Ice Dance grass.

Keep on growing!
Andrea
